Coach Rico is a passionate and dedicated leader of D3WC & DCWC wrestling clubs, bringing years of experience both as a competitor and a coach. His journey in wrestling began in 1985 in Lawton, OK where he developed a love for the sport that ultimately shaped his career. As a wrestler, Rico competed at Central Jr High, Lawton High School and the University of Oklahoma "Boomer Sooner" establishing himself as a skilled athlete known for his discipline and tenacity.
With a focus on building well-rounded athletes, Coach Rico emphasizes the importance of hard work, sportsmanship, and mental toughness both on and off the mat. His coaching philosophy centers on developing not only champions in the sport but also leaders in life, teaching his wrestlers valuable lessons that extend beyond the competition.
